The chore chart.
A weekly chore chart for a family, a couple or a shared flat: three each a day, picked by each person, a shared list for whoever has a minute, and one bigger thing you do together. No stars, no scores, no nagging.

How it works.
- 1
Write everyone's name down the side
Up to five people. Kids, partners, housemates. Everyone gets the same three circles a day. - 2
Everyone picks their own three
Each morning (or the night before), each person picks three. Little ones can pick small things: feed the cat counts. - 3
Tick, then stop
Three ticked means done for the day. No bonus points for doing more. Then go play. - 4
Keep a shared list and one big thing
Anything that isn't anyone's yet goes on the shared list. The one big thing (the garage, the garden) is done together, once a week.
Want the shared list on everyone’s phone instead? Nuffo has a shared household list: shared things land in everyone’s later, and each person still picks their own three.
Quick answers
Why no stars or points?
Rewards for doing more turn chores into a competition and a nag. Three each a day is fair and finishable, and stopping at three is the reward.
What age is it for?
Any age that can tick a circle. Younger kids pick one or two small things; grown-ups pick their three.
Can housemates use it?
Yes. It works for flats and shared houses, not only families. The shared list is for whoever has a minute.
Is it free?
Yes. No email, no sign-up. Print a fresh one every week.
Three things is enough.
Nuffo's shared household list does this on everyone's phone: shared things land in each person's later, and everyone still keeps to their own three. Free.
