the guide · capture link

Send it anywhere.

A private address that saves anything sent to it into later. It never touches today. Hook it up to Siri, Zapier, a bookmark or a script.

Start freesettings → connections → capture link

Nuffo at a letterbox, reading a note that just arrived

How it works

  1. Make your link in settings. It looks like https://nuffo.app/c/YOUR-LINK. Copy it: it’s shown once.
  2. Send it text with a POST: JSON {"text": "…"}, a form, or a plain body.
  3. Nuffo sorts it into later or wishes, like anything you dump. You still pick today.

Recipes

Swap in your own link. In settings, the recipes come with it filled in, plus a bookmarklet ready to drag.

Apple Shortcuts (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
  1. New shortcut → add Ask for Input (text), or start from the share sheet with Shortcut Input.
  2. Add Get Contents of URL. URL: https://nuffo.app/api/capture. Tap Show More: Method POST; under Headers add Authorization set to the line below; Request Body JSON, add a field text set to the input.
  3. Name it “nuffo”. Now “Hey Siri, nuffo” or the Action Button drops a thought into later.

Bearer YOUR-LINK

Zapier, Make or IFTTT
  1. Pick any trigger (a starred email, a new card, a form answer).
  2. Add a Webhooks action (Zapier: Webhooks by Zapier → POST; Make: HTTP → Make a request; IFTTT: Webhooks → Make a web request). URL: https://nuffo.app/api/capture. Add a header Authorization set to the line below. Payload type JSON, a field text with what to save. Optional: note, and kind as task, wish or idea.

Bearer YOUR-LINK

{ "text": "…", "note": "…", "kind": "task" }

A bookmarklet: save this page as a wish

Make your link in settings and the bookmarklet appears there, ready to drag to your bookmarks bar, with your link already inside.

curl, or any script
curl -X POST https://nuffo.app/api/capture \
  -H "authorization: Bearer YOUR-LINK" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"text": "call the plumber friday"}'

JSON {text, note?, kind?}, a form (text=…) or a plain-text body all work. Answers { ok: true } with a receipt you can undo.

Safety notes

  • POST only. Opening the link in a browser saves nothing. It only listens to POST requests.
  • Dump only. It lands in later (or wishes, or the 7-day wait for big ideas). It can never put anything on today.
  • Undoable. Every capture leaves a receipt that says “capture link”, with undo, in recent changes.
  • Yours to turn off. Make a new link and the old one stops at once. Or turn it off. Only a fingerprint of it is stored.
  • Rate-limited. Up to 20 a minute and 150 a day, so a runaway automation can’t bury your list.
  • Private. Anyone with the link can add to your list, so keep it out of public repos and screenshots.

Quick answers

Where do I find my link?

In Nuffo: settings → connections → capture link → make my capture link. It's shown once; copy it then.

I lost it. Can you show it again?

No, for safety only a fingerprint is kept. Make a new one: the old one stops working, so update your shortcut or zap.

Can it add to today?

Never. Nothing but your own tap fills today. The capture link only adds to later, wishes or the 7-day wait.

What can I send?

JSON like {"text": "…", "note": "…", "kind": "task"}, a form with text=…, or just plain text as the body. kind can be task, wish or idea; leave it out and Nuffo sorts it.
